When Byråkrat closes at 03.30 a.m we have a long session tidying up before the morning guests arrive at 06.00. Mona Lisa Huset is the most pulsating Restauranthouse in the city. In Oslo it`s actually possible ot get a menu in your hands at 6 in the morning, seven days a week! Again it is the Mona Lisa Huset that offfers it`s utmost for early birds and tourists to be treated like in any other European big city. In Byråkrat the staff is ready to serve you fresh coffee, sandwiches and à la carte, and of course beer and wine. Byråkråt is the most popular café in the center of Oslo. Lots of people find their way to this place in the early morning, just a little walk from Stortinget, most of the departments and a few state- and private companies. Byråkrat`s spacious outdoor café is the place that attracts most people. Here you are close to the busy life on Karl Johan, the High Street of Oslo. The floor is heated and we also have gas-lamps that gives the place a comfortable temperature all year round, and since it`s outside, you are allowed to smoke.

Lunch

In the middle of the day it can be difficult to get your regular table. It`s lots of lunch-guests, lawyers, politicians, bureaucrats (!), media and artists that do their meetings here. Groups of freinds often comes after shopping, and many tourists from Norway and abroad find the way to our popular oasis in the middle of Oslo. Det ambience is good, and the atmosphere reminds you of what you can experience in metropoles like Berlin and Paris.

Lively night

While the dusk becomes dawn the pre-party and night-party people arrive. Lots of people loves Byråkrat`s calm environment where you can have a conversation without being disturbed from loud music. They also like the fact you can sit down and have a meal more or less in the middle of the night. And when the streets of Oslo calms down, you can still hear cheerful chats and the sound of knife`s and forks in Øvre Slottsgate, in Mona Lisa, that almost never goes to sleep.
